The other day, I was reading Shahnameh[1] ; to be honest, I too have the tendency to read various books, I sometimes study the holy Quran and contemplate about it, I go for Shahnameh as well, Usool Al-Kafi is also the book I study at times, I also have a cursory look over the Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Avicenna's philosophy is also my favorites as well as the philosophy of Kant and Descartes; generally, I poke my nose into every book and I have a finger in every pie. And after all these searches and studying I came to understand that there is no culture more stable, better, more valuable, more effective than the great culture of Islam which emerge in the holy Quran and the great narrations of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
There is defect existing everywhere, but the Islam which has been revealed by Allah Almighty, not the Islam which a billion people are practicing in other countries and some people do so in our countries, not the Umayyah or Abbasi Islam, not the Islam that the British Foreign Ministry has come up with by the name of Wahabbism, if people trouble themselves and study these two precious book; The holy Quran and Tuhaf al-Uqul. Islam is some of those narrations in the book of Tuhaf al-Uqul and the holy Quran besides it can complete the Islam. " This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as religion al-Islam." (Sura 3: AL-MAEDA). The time that the holy Prophet publically announced that "The seeking of knowledge is obligatory forevery Muslim.
