There is no further information available on the reasons behind the arrest.
Manama’s security forces have rounded up hundreds of people in recent months during similar operations across Bahrain. Most are subjected to arbitrary detention.
Earlier this week, the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) recorded eight arbitrary arrests between April 16 and April 22.
Many of those arrested are often tortured and subjected to cruel and humiliating treatment.
