-- More attention should be paid to religious principles today since only through [promotion of Ahlul Bayt (AS) teachings, can our religious and national culture be maintained.
This is according to parliament speaker Ali Larijani who was speaking at a ceremony for unveiling the Imam Hossein (AS) Encyclopedia.
Referring to the encyclopedia as one of the valuable works featuring the Ashura uprising, Dr. Larijani said: “If well introduced, the lives of Imam and the Ashura uprising will elevate our society.”
According to the parliament speaker, supporting cultural and particularly religious projects have been high on the agenda at the parliament. “We have doubled the budget allocated for Qom Seminary School and other cultural centers of the province and plan to continue the support next year.”
The 14-volume encyclopedia of Imam Hussein (AS) was unveiled yesterday, December 10, during a ceremony held at Dar-ol-Hadith Scientific-Cultural Institute in the holy city of Qom with presence of grand Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani, parliament speaker and a number of university and seminary school instructors.
