Special Course on Muharram for Muslim Elites in Zimbabwe

-- On the advent of Muharram, a special religious course for Muslim elites will be held for ten days by Iran Cultural Center in Zimbabwe from December 28.

The history of Islam and the events of the day of Ashura will be discussed during the course.

The course is organized along with some other programs on the occasion including an essay writing contest, call for which has been published in Herald newspaper, a painting competition on Ashura and martyrdom of Ali Asghar (AS) for Iranian students in Harare and religious courses for students in Hazrat Fatima (AS) University.

The Iranian center will also held mourning ceremonies to be attended by Iranians as well as Indian and Lebanese Shias for ten days both at the center and at Imam Khomeini Mosque in Kadma region.

“Yawm Al-Hussein” (the day of Imam Hussein (AS)) meeting is another program to be held in cooperation with the center on the 3rd day of Muharram at the university where Mohammad Asadi Movahhed, Iranian cultural attaché in Zimbabwe, will deliver a speech on the philosophy of Ashura uprising.
