--The 9th edition of Quran competition for the military’s female personnel wrapped up in a ceremony Monday morning at a navy base in Kuhak.
The ceremony, which began with recitation of verses from the holy Quran by internationally acclaimed reciter Saeed Tusi, was attended by Rear Admiral Habibolah Sayyari, commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy.
Rear Admiral Sayyari, Hojat-ol-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Ali Ale Hashem head of the military’s ideo-political organization and Hojat-ol-Islam Muslim Yaghubi director of the military’s Dar-ol-Quran Center addressed the closing ceremony.
Later in the program, winners of the 9th Quran competition for the military’s female personnel received their awards.
The contest was held from December 19 to 21 in the categories of Tahghigh and Tarteel recitation of the Quran, translation, memorization (at five levels) and comprehension of Quranic concepts.
