-- The holy city of Qom will host a seminar on “Islam and Sustainable Development” next week.
Organized by the Islamic Culture and Sciences Research Center in cooperation with Qom’s department of environment, the seminar will be attended by university scholars, seminary instructors and seminary students.
Slated to be held on Monday, March 8, it aims to elevate awareness about sustainable development in the country and discuss religious and Islamic ideas in the field.
Mohammadizadeh head of the Environment Organization, Hojat-ol-Islam Musapur governor of Qom Province, and Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Moballeghi head of the Islamic Culture and Sciences Research Center will deliver speeches at the seminar.
There will also be specialized panels to discuss sustainable development from the viewpoint of Fiqh (jurisprudence) and Islamic law, and Islam, sustainable development, and economy.
