Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), TABRIZ, Iran -- According to the public relations and international affairs office of Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Mohammadi head of the organization in a speech elaborated on the lofty status of the holy Quran in Islamic societies especially Iran, and referred to the construction of the university in Tabriz as an important step in promoting Quranic culture in the region.
Ayatollah Mojtaded Shabestari, representative of the leader in the province, had already highlighted the role of the Quran in the society’s spiritual development, urging the head of Awqaf Organization to build a Quranic Sciences University in Tabriz considering the important status and ancient history of the city.
The university which is planned to be built with a primary budget of 15 billion rials in an area of 6 hectares includes a number of faculties, a library, as well as other academic and welfare facilities.
