(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Imam Khamenei said in a meeting with the head and members of Qom Theological School that the body must proceed with leadership of Iranian society.
'Qom Theological School as a deep-rooted establishment has played determining role before and after the Islamic Revolution and spared no effort to remain committed to the aspiration of late Imam Khomeini.'
Qom Theological School played a vital role in campaign against Pahlavi dynasty through circulation of various statements in support of Late Imam Khomeini and after the triumph of the Islamic revolution the body continued its path, said Grand Ayatollah Khamenei.
The role of Qom Theological School in the country’s resistance to US-backed Iraqi occupation of Iranian border cities and triumph in the war (1980-1988) to liberate Iranian territory is crystal clear, underlined the Supreme Leader.
Imam Khamenei said that maintaining unity and preserving prestige of Ulema are part of responsibility of Qom Theological School.
Qom Theological School should form think room and absorb talented clerics to draw up strategies for educational, cultural and social development, said the Supreme Leader.
Clerics should play their role in cultural activities as well as TV programs to help keep up the society with the right track, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
Imam Khamenei also mentioned contribution of Qom Theological School as the heart of Shia clerics to education as well as media affairs.
