Iranian cultural attaché in Beirut says a seminar on Nahj-ol-Balaqa in the Lebanese capital will be held next month.
Seyed Mohammad Hossein Raeeszadeh said that the seminar will be organized by the cultural section of the Iranian embassy with the cooperation of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
The lofty character of Imam Ali (AS) and the book Nahj-ol-Balaqa can be regarded as themes for promoting unity between followers of Islam and Christianity, he said. “That is why the cultural section of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy in Lebanon is planning to hold this seminar.”
He said a number of religious figures from Shia, Sunni, Christian, Druze and Alavi communities would take part at the seminar, which is slated for November 23-24.
A call for papers was issued three months ago, Mr. Raeeszadeh said adding that the themes of the seminar include “Ethical Wisdom in Nahj-ol-Balaqa”, “Meaning of Tawhid (monotheism) in Nahj-ol-Balaqa”, Nahj-ol-Balaqa and Islamic Unity”, and “Nahj-ol-Balaqa and Coexistence of Followers of Different Faiths”.
