The final stage of the 12th edition of national Quran memorization contest, Dubai Holy Quran award, will be held from January 22 to 31.
According to Dubaiaward website, Ibrahim Mohammad Bu Melha, head of the organizing committee of the contest and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charitable Foundation, said: “the preliminary stage of the competition will be held from January 1 to 10 in the UAE’s various cities the winners of which will compete at the final stage in Dubai.”
“The 7th edition of the Quran competition titled ‘Al-Hafiz Al-Muwatin’ which is annually organized by Dubai International Holy Quran Award Institute, will begin from November 28 in Dubai,” he added.
The organizer also noted that the international institute will hold the fifth edition of the best recitation contest in April 2011.
Ahmad Saqr Al-Suwaidi, member of the organizing committee of the contest also said in this respect: “the measurements necessary for holding the three Quranic competitions have been taken and various meetings with organizing committees have been held.”
