Right-Wing Settlers Barred From West Bank For Terrorist Activities

Six settlers were banned from several West Bank settlements and three were banned from Yitzhar.

The right-wing settlers have been involved with the burning of mosques, the burning of Palestinian cars, and torching Palestinian buildings for that past two years.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Major General Avi Mizrahi said, “What’s happening in the field is terrorism, the burning of mosques, the destruction of olive groves or the injuring of people.”

The settlers have been banned from the West Bank varying from three months to a year.

The Yitzhar settlement is located near Nablus and the Orthodox Jewish residents have been noted as some of the most extreme settlers of the West Bank.

The settlement is headed by Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira, who wrote the “King’s Torah,” where he states it is permissible to kill non-Jews, including babies, that may constitute a threat to the State of Israel.

According to Ynet News agency, the Yesha Human Rights Organization issued a statement that the banning of these settlers from the West Bank was “biased” and demands a full explanation to why the settlers were banned.
