A Quranic exhibition called “a week with the Quran in Ramadan” has been held by Cultural Office of Iranian embassy in Herat, Afghanistan.
The exhibition opened from August 16 by Quran and cultural activists in Southern Khorasan Province in cooperation with some of Quranic centers of the city.
Mohammadali Rezvani, in charge of the cultural affairs of Iranian embassy said that Quranic artworks including tableaux of illumination, engravings on pieces of wood, Quranic software products and books by both Iranian and Afghan publishers have been displayed at the exhibition for one week.
He said that a Tawasheeh group has been dispatched from Esfahan, Iran to hold programs during the exhibition in Afghanistan.
“Special programs as well as contests on Quranic concepts have been planned for every day of the exhibition.”
He added that three top winners from among those attend the competitions will be sent to the holy city of Mashhad for pilgrimage.
The Iranian official also invited all Afghan citizens to visit the exhibition and benefit from the spirituality of the holy Quran.
Some other cities of Afghanistan like Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif have also hosted such Quranic exhibition in Ramadan.
