The 6th edition of the National Quran Contest for the visually-impaired will be held today, September 10 in Shiraz. According to IQNA, Mohammad Ghasem Shayestehnia, head of Nour Rehabilitators Foundation in Shiraz, said: “The competitions are annually held, and this year the 6th edition will be attended by the interested participants from across the country with no age limits.” “The contest is aimed at supporting the sightless Quran lovers and raising the level of their motivation, particularly because no contest has been solely devoted to this class,” he went on to say. “The categories include memorization of the last 6 sections (Juzes) of the holy Quran, recitation of the first 10 Juzes, as well as Adhan and sermons. The contest will conclude with a Quranic forum that will be held in Shahcheragh (AS) holy shrine.
