The Arab League has asked the world community to provide protection for the Palestinian people, their leadership, land, and potentials in face of the Israeli aggression.
The League’s general secretariat tabled an “explanatory note” with the Saturday meeting for the Arab foreign ministers in Cairo pointing to the world community’s responsibility for world peace and security.
It said that the Israeli military escalation against the Gaza Strip was coupled with an international silence that was understood by Israel as a green light to continue in its aggression.
It is about time for the world community to end its silence and to bring to trial all those responsible for this savage aggression, the League said.
Egyptian demonstrators encircled the League premises condemning the Israeli aggression on Gaza and demanding firmer and courageous decisions to bridle Israel.
