The conference on ‘Just Peace; Common Global Discourse’ was held by Shaleinang Peace University as an active university in the area of global peace with the attendance of some prominent Iranian scholars, members of Islamic Peace Assembly, Islamic Culture and Communications Organization, Iranian Cultural Consul in Austria and more than 12 European professors and scholars active in the area of peace in countries like France, Austria, Germany, Hrvatska and Italy. The conference was opened by a speech by the secretary of Islamic Global Peace Assembly and the head of Peace Institute of Shaleinang University.
The topics touched by the conference included components of just peace in religions, place of cultural and civilizational commonalities in realization of just peace, world convergence and search for just peace, colonialism and dangers threatening just global peace, challenges of peace from the perspective of religions and contemporary international law, political basis of just peace in Islamic thought, impact of just peace in improving world economy and role of popular organizations and elites in strengthening world peace. The conference tackled with all these issues within a period of two days.
