Iran Supreme Leader urges OIC to support Palestine

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that the Organization of the Islamic Conference is expected to actively deal with the plight of Palestinians in the face of Israeli systematic genocide.

 

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade, the current OIC leader in Tehran.

The Supreme Leader said that the OIC is responsible for properly deal with the issue of Palestine which is in dire need of firm and calculated action by the Muslim World.

Expressing satisfaction with the current level of commercial, industrial and economic cooperation between the two countries, the Supreme Leader underlined that Iran is ready to render its invaluable experiences and achievements in various fields to other Islamic states.

"Senegal is now chairing the OIC and it is expected that the body to seriously pursue the issue of Palestine which has been oppressed and it needs collective measures of world Muslim," the Supreme Leader said.

Referring to the supports made by the arrogant powers along with some of Islamic states for the fabricated Zionist regime, the Supreme Leader said that it is among the responsibility of the OIC to respond to the call of world Muslims and to assist them with all means and to ignite flames of hope among the oppressed people.

The Senegalese president, for his part, voiced satisfaction over his visit to Tehran and described the current level of mutual cooperation at high level.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has a very remarkable status in the Muslim World and there is no doubt that the country’s experiences would be welcomed by OIC.

He also expressed satisfaction over magnificent turnout in presidential elections in Iran on June 12.
