The Bangladeshi Minister of Information, Hasanul Haque Inu, has emphasized that the sacred religion of Islam is the religion of peace, amity, and justice, and defends the downtrodden and disadvantaged strata.
According to IRIB World Service, the Bangladeshi minister, who has visited Tehran to attend the 10th Islamic Conference of Information Ministers (ICIM), referred to the unwavering support of the US and Britain for the terrorist outfits, including the terrorist group dubbed ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) in massacre of innocent people, while adding that these terrorist outfits intend to somehow tarnish the image of Islam.
He named the Zionist regime of Israel as one of the staunch supporters of terrorism and the arch-enemy of Islam and Muslims.
In further remarks, the Bangladeshi minister added that the media of Islamic countries should counter Takfiri groups via dissemination of appropriate information, and alert the international community against the Americanized Islam which has today posed many threats against mankind, especially Muslims.
