-- The cooperation between Tabung Hajji and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) based in Jeddah will facilitate Qurban (sacrifice) activities for Malaysian pilgrims during Hari Raya Aidil Adha at the end of the month.
Malaysian hajj pilgrims group leader Salleh Abd Mubin said the rate for each participation in a Qurban activity was Saudi Riyal 430 (RM400), the price fixed by IDB for a goat.
He said the cooperation would help hajj pilgrims take part in the Qurban rituals on the Tashyrik days from Nov 27 to 30.
"We carried out this service with the IDB because the bank has a complete Qurban ritual programme with a good slaughterhouse in Mina and sufficient livestock for slaughter," he told the Tabung Hajji media team here Wednesday.
Mohd Salleh said about 50 per cent of pilgrims had appointed Tabung Hajji to carry out the Qurban activities, and the same was expected this year.
He said those interested could pay cash at any Tabung Hajji deposit and withdrawal counters located at all Tabung Hajji hostels in Mecca, or debit the amount from their Tabung Haji account balance.
