WAAC is not affiliated with any political party or any Islamic Marjaia (jurisprudents), and provides services to all sisters and brothers belonging to various backgrounds and different schools of thoughts.

We are working to develop a website that provides its audience with a framework for understanding Islam and its philosophy, which encompasses every aspect of our lives and we asking Almighty Allah to help us in our work.

Who are the AhlulBayt (the people of the house)?

The Ahlulbayt, are those glowing personalities, endeared and respected by every Muslim alike who loves the Holy Prophet (PBUH&HF), the Almighty’s last Messenger to all mankind and sincerely believes in his mission. The Muslims have known this lofty term, these guiding stars on the horizon of Islam, ever since the revelation of this verse in the Glorious Quran to address the family of our Prophet in the following terms:

"Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness (abomination) O' People of the House (Ahlulbayt), and purify you with a perfect purification."

Holy Quran (33:33)

This blessed epithet has also been mentioned in the Hadith of the two weighty things (al-Thaqalain), which is a famous Mutawatir Hadith attributed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF). It is included in several authentic hadith collections.

“I leave among you two precious things; if you hold onto them, you will not go astray after me: the Book of God (Holy Quran) and my Household (Ahlulbayt). These two things will not separate from each other until they reach me near the fountain on the Day of Judgment. Be alert and careful how you treat them after me.”

[Sahih Muslim (Vol.8, p.25, no.2408)]

In this tradition, the Holy Prophet (PBUH&HF) has reminded us to attach to these two weighty things, namely Quran and Ahlulbayt, in order not to go astray after him. The Messenger of Allah also informed us that these two weights are non-separable and they are with each other till the Day of Judgment. This requires us that for understanding the interpretation of Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) we should refer to those who are attached to it, namely Ahlulbayt.
