"Abd Al-Aziz Fawzan" a Saudi mufti and a member of the Human Rights Commission in Saudi Arabia has said that "Shiite Islam is derived from Christianity and other religions"
Internet users have strongly reacted to Abd Al-Aziz Fawzan's sectarian statements. The users, under a hashtag which says: "Abd Al-Aziz Fawzan excommunicates Shiite Islam" stressed on stopping such sectarian statements.
Dr. Tawfiq Alsaif, supervisor in "Resalat AL-Islam" channel, posted in his Twitter that: "I have no clue which is more: your ignorance of Christianity or your ignorance of Shiite Islam or both? I am sorry for the youth who are led to Takfirism and suicide bombing by your statements".
He then described his position as a member of the Human Rights Commission in Saudi Arabia as "assignment of a thief as a guard".
"Hussain al-Alaq" too in his Twitter asked for passing of a law to forbid insulting other religions and creeds in Saudi Arabia.
Abd Al-Aziz Fawzan, warning people from ISIS, said that "ISIS aims to occupy the country, describing the organization as an American, Zionist and Shiite organization.
"Taha al-Haji", a lawyer, reacting to this mufti's remarks said: unfortunately, media, scholars and university professors still spread such poisonous ideas in community and attempt at excommunicating people.
Shiite Muslims in Saudi Arabia too condemned his remarks and called them "religious provocations" which some muftis are used to and asked authorities to stop such actions.
Abd Al-Aziz Fawzan is Salih Fawzan's son who calls Shiite Muslims enemy of the Muslims and one who has a dark background in the world of Islam and Muslims.
