Bahraini security forces attacked the homes of anti-government protesters in parts of the capital, Manama, arresting six people.

The raids occurred in the districts of Karanah and al-Diraz early on Monday.

In a separate development, Bahraini police clashed with anti-regime protesters in Karbabad district.

The demonstrators reportedly staged the protest rally in solidarity with jailed activist Abduljalil al-Singace.

Al-Singace, the chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Haq Movement, was arrested on August 13, 2010 and then sentenced to life imprisonment.

He has been on hunger strike for over 100 days.

Since mid-February 2011, thousands of anti-regime protesters have held numerous demonstrations on the streets of Bahrain, calling for the Al Khalifa family to relinquish power.

Scores of people have been killed hundreds of others injured and arrested in the ongoing crackdown on peaceful rallies.
