According to several traditions, the Qur’an and the Household of the Holy Prophet too will intercede on the Day of Judgment. The Holy Prophet said: “I intercede on the Day of Judgment and my intercession is accepted and Ali will intercede and his intercession is accepted, my Household will interceded and their intercession is accepted as well.”
He also said: there are five intercessors: “The Qur’an, your Prophet’s Household, Imams, Holy Prophets, relatives.”
He also said: Learn the Qur’an, for the Qur’an will intercede on the Day of Judgment.
Imam Sadiq (A.S) repeated the following sentence three times: Swear by God, we will intercede for our Shias on the Day of Judgment.”
Muaviaya bin Ammar asked: who are the people who have permission from Allah to intercede? Imam Sadiq (A.S) said: “we are the intercessors.”
Intercession by Prophets, angels and Believers
Next to the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Household, the light of intercession goes to the divine prophets, angels close to the Divine Court, divine sages, martyrs and the virtuous people. They intercede for the deserving people on the Day of Judgment.
The Holy Prophet of Islam said: “The prophets, angels and believers interceded on the Day of Judgment.”
He also said: The divine prophets, the knowledgeable people and the martyrs will intercede on the Day of Judgment.
He also said: “The angels, the Prophets and the martyrs are allowed to intercede with Him. Then they intercede and those who have faith in their hearts are rescued from the fire of Hell with the permission of God.”
Intercession by Fatima Ma’soomah (A.S)
On the basis of the above discussion, it is clear that intercession of the divine sages is accepted with the permission of God. The Holy Prophet of Islam, the Qur’an and the Household do interceded on the Day of Judgment. The knowledgeable and the martyrs interceded as well.
