Chief Minister of Sindh is reported to consult his law minister Rana Sanaullah for placement of any officer in Punjab.
When Rana Sanaullah was consulted with regard to Intisar Hussain Jafri, he opposed a Shia police officer’s deployment in Punjab and said that Shia officer would carry out indiscriminate operations, in the ongoing war on terror due to which ‘our friends will suffer’.
Due to the above mentioned reason, Shahbaz Sharif has refused to take services of a Shia DIG Intisar Hussain Jafri.
Sources told that IG Punjab Mushtaq Ahmed Sakheera had sent the summary to Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, in which the Chief Minister was requested to take back the services of DIG Intisar Hussain, deployed in Baluchistan Police, and to place him in Punjab Police. IG had also admired Intisar Hussain’s professionalism and his contributions to the police force, in the summary, but Chief Minister Punjab has rejected the summary.
DIG Intisar Hussain, currently placed in Baluchistan, had earlier performed duties as SP traffic region Gujranwala, SP investigation Qasoor, SP Model Town Lahore, SP Traffic Sheikhupura, SP Sadar Lahore, Chief traffic officer Lahore, SP Headquarters Lahore, SP investigation Punjab, Chief traffic officer Gujranwala, DPO Khushab and at several other important designations and since he had worked in different cities of Punjab, he understands the responsibilities of police in Punjab in a better way.
