Shiite News: Security on all jails of Punjab have been strengthened after the intelligence reports regarding threats of terror attacks on jails of Punjab have been issued.
According to the reports of intelligence agencies, terrorists have entered Punjab due to the army and Rangers’ ongoing operation in South Punjab and other parts of the country. These terrorist could target jails of Punjab therefore, provincial government has been asked to take measures in this regard on priority basis.
In the wake of intelligence reports Provincial interior ministry has issued orders for strengthening the security of all jails and other important places of the province. Senior officials have also been directed to seal inter-provincial borders and to increase both land and aerial patrolling. They have also been ordered to check every person and vehicle entering Punjab.
DIG Operations Lahore Dr. Haider Ashraf has also issued orders to relevant divisional SP regarding the security on both jails of Punjab and has asked him to personally visit the jails and make sure that effective security measures be taken.
In addition to this, elite force has also been ordered to patrol around Kot Lakhpat and Camp jail Lahore and to keep an eye on suspicious people.
