Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says certain Muslim governments have been betraying their people by helping the US implement its policies in the region.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution has received a meeting of reciters and memorizers of the Holy Quran and the arbitrators participating in the 33rd International Quran Contest.
On Wednesday morning Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniyeh hosted the event where Ayatollah Khamenei officially received reciters of Quran.
Earlier in the meeting, the Leader addressed the session about the place of the Holy Quran in uniting Muslim nations to which imperialist powers tried to create alternative in order to alienate Muslim nations from their common book; “the book is a heavenly blessing for all humanity; we are quite distant from this exceptional book’s teachings and facts; the happiness of the Islamic Ummah lies on the efforts to know more the Quranic rich and deep teachings,” added the Leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei criticized ‘some countries’ however Islamic, for their treachery of their nation by preparing the grounds for a US infiltration and hegemony; “the great idolaters welcome the US and cooperate with it; this is a plight of the Islamic world and the region; this is an unpardonable sin,” he asserted.
“However, for mission of the Ummah, it is enlightenment, equaling a jihad in importance; we should not be given to hegemony of the powerful; we should remain strong; this is not merely through military and money, but through spiritual powers given to us by sheer belief. The enemy will fear an intrepid Islam. For example, they attack Iran since they fear us and our sovereignty,” the leader continued.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution told the meeting that Iran’s hegemony and influence among Muslims was nourished by its ‘honest positions and action,’ which provided the country its power as well; “no promise of great powers and their banishments has ever had Iranians succumb to them; neither did their threats scared us; the key to success in Islamic world is to remain steadfast in the face of these hollow promises and defying their threats,” he told the meeting.
Ayatollah Khamenei then turned to rise of ISIL and Takfirists in the region which acted as proxies of the enemies to divide the Muslim world and fuel sectarian internecine strife; “the remedy is to enlighten the dark minds and hearts through Quranic teachings and spiritual ballast; the elites should shoulder this important task in their own countries; I believe the heavenly hand will help those movements against the front of the dark forces which hinged upon enlightenment; no doubt that this front of infidels will have to retreat against the front of defiants who endeavor in path of God ,’” concluded the Leader.
