Iran's Police Clash with Terrorists in Southeast Province, 6 Killed

Iranian police forces have killed five members of the Jaish-ul-Adl terrorist group in exchange of fire in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, Police spokesman said, adding that a trooper has been also martyred.

General Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi said on Monday that Police forces have attacked a team of Jaish-ul-Adl terrorists in the provincial region of Khash, saying the operation is still underway.

A huge amount of ammunition has been confiscated from the militants, who had plans to get into the country to carry out terrorist attacks, he explained.

Jaish-ul-Adl has claimed responsibility for a number of criminal activities in Pakistan and Iran in recent years.

In an earlier operation in the extreme northwest of the country, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force servicemen killed five members of the Party for Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK) terrorist group.

According to the IRGC, members of the terrorist cell were killed in an ambush after extensive intelligence activities in Sardasht region in the northwestern province of West Azerbaijan.
