The Ahlulbayt World Assembly’s Message of Condolence on Shawwal 8th, the Sad Anniversary of Destruction of the Holy Shrines of Infallible Imams in Baqi’ Cemetery, Medina
The full message is as follow:
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths but Allah will perfect His light, though the unbelievers may be averse. (Surah Al-Saff: Verse 8)
The 8th of Shawwal in Islamic calendar marks the heartrending anniversary of the destruction of the glorious shrine of Holy Imams buried in Baqi’ cemetery, Medina, by Wahhabi blind-hearted and unwise elements.
The Ahlulbayt World Assembly expresses condolences on this sad occasion to the Imam of Age, Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), and then to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Grand Ayatollahs, Islamic Seminaries, all Muslim and Shiite communities worldwide, particularly its honorable members and representatives.
The Ahlulbayt World Assembly further condemns the sacrilegious destruction of all Islamic heritages in Mecca and Medina, especially the holy shrines of four Infallible Imams in Baqi’ cemetery and other holy shrines around the world by the Wahhabi sect.
We urge all lovers and followers of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) throughout the world to commemorate and mourn on the occasion of 8th of Shawwal and keep alive the memory of this sad event.
The Ahlulbayt World Assembly also warns the obstinate leaders of the deviant Wahhabi sect, who never attend the rational debates, to stop making divisions and conflicts among Muslims and put an end to fratricide, corruption, destruction of sacred and religious sites, desecration of the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina, and preventing the Muslims from performing Hajj, which is an example of blocking the path of Allah.
