AhlulBayt News Agency - A joint meeting of Sunni and Shia Muslim scholars of Pakistan’s Baluchistan province was held in the province’s capital, Quetta.

A number of prayer leaders, seminary professors and scholars from different parts of the province attended the gathering.

The participants underscored the need for strengthening Muslim unity and described sectarianism as the enemies’ tool to spread sedition in the Islamic world.

The meeting was held to resume the activities of an Islamic association founded earlier in Pakistan to promote unity among Sunni and Shia scholars.

Those present at the gathering also held congregational prayers led by Sunni scholar Mawlana Shirani.
