The campaign, whose motto reads “Your hijab is the inheritance of the Prophet, not the heritage of your forefathers,” has been organized by the Islamic Awareness Committee of Taif University’s Teacher Training Faculty. An official from the Faculty of Arts said the campaign would “strengthen commitment to the shariah hijab” and work to instruct female students in “the high value of the prophetic guidance.”The program will include discussion sessions with students on the necessity of wearing the hijab, according to the official, with focus on “viewing the hijab in its value as an expression of religious devotion”.The campaign, which has involved staff and students, has begun with the distribution of awareness posters and information leaflets around the campus.
