Given that the fadak garden was taken with no war and its inhabitants surrendered themselves and it was considered the trophies and belonged the Holy prophet (PBUH) only, when the following verse: Give the relatives, the destitute, and the needy travelers their share (of charity). The Holy Prophet (PBUH) summoned Hazrat Fatima (as) and gave Fadak to her according to the divine command, But after the demise of the Prophet Muhammad, the first Caliph usurped the fadak from Hazrat Fatima (as).
The demand for taking back the Fadak on behalf of Hazrat Zahra (SA) was not merely asking and claiming a piece of land. As evidence and the traditions show that was a move was a political act.
