It has been mentioned in the interpretation of the verses of repentance: the angels take the sins of the sinners to the Book of Decrees (Lauh Al-Mahfuz), thereupon, they see good deeds instead of their sins, they humbly prostrate before Allah Almighty and say to him: we wrote whatever he did, but we see something different, they are responded: you are right, but the sinner servant of mine regretted and repented while weeping and was remorseful, so I eradicated his sins and forgave him and rewarded him by my mercy, since I am the most merciful.
