It was narrated from Imam Sadiq (AS) that his father Imam Baqir (as) has said:
One day, I went to see my father, Ali bin al-Hussein (as) and I saw that worshiping had had a great effect on him and his face has turned pale due to being awake and his eyes have been damaged due to extreme crying and his bright forehead had many patches because of extreme prostration and his legs have swelled because of standing a lot for saying prayers, when I saw him in this condition, I couldn't help crying, I wept a lot, my father was busy contemplating, after a while he looked at me and said: give me some of the books that the worships of Imam Ali (AS) has been written, when I brought the books and he read some parts of them, he put them on the ground and said: who is able to worship like Imam Ali (AS)?
