Talking about the forgiveness of Allah Almighty, professor Ansarian pointed out that Allah Almighty never delays in forgiving, because if it were so, we could conclude that Allah Almighty is suffering from lack of affection and kindness, so Allah never delays in forgiving but he forgives immediately. Of course, it is worth noting that Allah Almighty has the power to delay forgiving but we can never find an example of in the Holy Quran and the narrations that Allah Almighty has misused his might and power; in other words, we have never seen such an issue from Allah that says because I have the power I am not going to forgive.
Professor Ansarian continued: the commander of the faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) has told us in the supplication of Kumayl that Allah Almighty's pleasure is quickly achieved. The lord of the universe is very fast, and this fastness of him is so wonderful; as soon as the servant is ready to be forgiven, he forgives.
