Back in the days, as a young clergy man I read a five-hundred-page book which was written by an Iranian scientist who had gone to Switzerland when he was young and lived there until he died at the age of ninety. I learned something from the very book which is written by that Iranian scientist by the name of Hussein Kazem Zadeh Iran Shahr who was originally from Tabriz. He has been an erudite scientist. Although he lived there for fifty years, his appearance and clothes had not been affected by their traditions, he used to have white beard and wear nice Iranian-like clothes.
How should we pray? And how should we worship Allah Almighty? As he has written in his book. There should be three elements in our worships; the element of knowledge so that I know what I am doing and who I am working for, the element of determination and ambition; it means that I don’t worship Allah Almighty out of indolence and unwillingness, or I say my prayers as fast I can and then take a deep breath and say, finally I am done with it. Have I moved a mountain or something that I say so? And the last element of worshiping is with affection and love. I other word, enjoy while you worshiping and worship Allah Almighty with love.
