Why did God let the devil live so that he can deceive people and make them commit sin? (Professor Ansarian's answer)

Why did God let the devil live so that he can deceive people and make them commit sin? (Professor Ansarian's answer)

The Almighty Allah says: I granted the devil respite but I have bestowed the mankind wisdom, nature, and consciousness, I granted them one hundred and twenty-four thousand prophets and twelve infallible Imams, I also provided them with holy Quran; instead of listening and accepting the invitation of the devil, move toward God, the divine prophets, the commander of the faithful (A.S) and Imam Sadiq (A.S), listen to the invitation of wisdom and nature. There is no harm or disadvantage for mankind in letting the devil live until the day of resurrection.  People like Salman, Abu Dharr, Meqdad lived beside the devil and you, the believers, are also living in these days beside the very devil but you say your prayers, you fast in Ramadhan month, you pay Zakat and Khums and you resolve the problems of your relatives, you avoid committing adultery, you avoid taking usury, the devil is also alive, but he has nothing to do with us. We can say no to this respited one.
