AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi is set to hold an international conference on Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam.
Intl. Conference on "Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Reza (AS) and the Scientific, Civilizational Movement of Islamic World" will be held on February 20 and 21 in the holy city of Mashhad.
An opening ceremony will be held at 8:00 am at the venue of the Islamic Research Foundation located on Tabarsi Sanctuary U-Turn at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) on Wednesday in the presence of Ayatollah Dr. Mohammad Hadi Abd Khodaei, representing Khorasan Razavi province at Iran’s Assembly of Experts.
Specialist panels will assess ideas presented at the conference before the closing ceremony, slated for 8:00 am Thursday at Quds Hall of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi, where the best papers will be awarded.
The international confab is being held in cooperation with al-Mustafa International University, AQR Islamic Research Foundation, Razavi Islamic Sciences University, AQR Deputy Office for Publicity and Communications, Imam Reza (AS) International Foundation for Culture and Art, Khorasan Razavi Department General of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, Allameh Tabatabai University, Khorasan Razavi Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization, Khorasan Theological School Management Center, al-Mustafa Open University, Indonesian Islamic College and al-Mustafa International University's offices in Lebanon and the Iranian northeastern city of Gorgan.
Astan Quds Razavi is the body in charge of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine.
