--Two translations of the holy Quran into German have recently been published.
The Anaconda Verlag Publications has published a translation of Islam’s holy book rendered by German Orientalist Friedrich Rückert.
Another translation of the Quran has come out by the Herder-Verlag Publications. It has been rendered into German by Ahmad Milad Karimi with an introduction by Bernhard Uhde.
It had first been published in 1772 in the German town of Megerlin. The latest edition of this translation contains 575 pages.
Germany is home to more than 4 million Muslims, most of whom are of Turkish origin.
