Commemoration of Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS) Planned in over 30 Countries

Commemoration of Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS) Planned in over 30 Countries

--The 7th edition of gatherings of Husseini infants will be held this Friday in 570 cities across Iran as well as 30 countries across the world.

The procession is annually observed in commemoration of Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS), the youngest child of Imam Hussein (AS) who was pitilessly killed in Karbala by the army of Yazid.

Speaking at a press conference Tuesday, December 22, Davoud Manafipur who heads the committee for organizing the World Commemoration of Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS), said that the gathering seeks to focus attentions on the oppressed-ness of the youngest martyr of Karbala.

Tens of thousands of babies will be dressed in Arabic style white and green color clothes to remind everyone of the little soldier of Ashura, Mr. Manafipur said, adding that 133 small cradles- symbolic of Ali Asghar’s (AS) cradle- have been prepared for the gatherings.

He said that over 3000 Shia news channels and websites would cover the news of the processions.

Mr. Manafipur noted that Zionist and American websites have mounted a propaganda campaign against the commemoration processions. “The committee for organizing the World Commemoration of Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS) has set up special subcommittees to counter these onslaughts,” he added.
