--Concurrent with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Hussein Zainul Abedin (AS), a mourning ceremony is slated to be held Sunday night, January 10, in Al-Kawsar Cultural Institute in The Hague.
According to Al-Fajr website, the institute’s information dissemination committee has invited Shia Muslims in the city to attend the spiritual ceremony, which will start at 6 p.m. local time.
Imam Sajjad (AS), the fourth Shia Imam, was martyred on the 25th of Muharram in the year 95 after Hijra, according to some accounts.
Al-Kawsar Cultural Institute is an active cultural center in The Hague, the Netherlands, which organizes various cultural and religious programs for the city’s Muslims, especially Shia Muslims. Its courses on Quran recitation and Tajweed will kick off tomorrow, January 9. There are also courses held on the Arabic language and Islamic teachings.
