The Barrier of Gog and Magog
21:96 until such a time as Gog and Magog are let loose [upon the world] and swarm down from every corner [of the earth],
Next in Sur e Kahaf in the story of Zulqarnain those names were mentioned. The words Yajuj o Majuj seems Hebrew names but originally they are not Hebrew, they had been taken from the other foreign languages. In the Greek it is pronounced as Gog and Magog. In other European languages and in the translations of Taurat, it is written the same way. The historical evidences proved that Yajuj and Majuj were the wild tribes living in the northern deserts of the west. They were living before Christian era and spreading like floods in the east and west.
In the recent period a part of these tribes (Yasgar) extended in Europe and a part of those tribes in Asia (Tatar). Certainly in the year 600 a section of these tribes wandered in the sea shores of Black Sea. These people descended from the Qafqaz mountains(The Caucasus Mountains are a mountain system in Eurasia between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the Caucasus region) and attacked the western Asia. The people living in the mountainous areas complained the king Daryush (Darius the great) about their loot and plunders and he constructed the Barrier of Yajuj o Majuj for their security. According to historians Darius and Zulqarnain are same person by different names.
The Holy Quran mentioned two features about the Barrier of Yajuj and Majuj. One of its feature is that it was built between the two mountains and the other feature was that the molten iron and copper was used in the building of the barrier.
The North West area is called Mongolia and its tribes are called Mongols. In Chinese language basically it is called Mangog or Manchok. In the history of China the other tribe of them is called “Yuvash”.
According to the outcome of the informations gathered the word Yajuj had been changed in different languages.
Mongolia was the cradle of very ancient tribes and it was the high lands of North West areas. Now it was given the name of Turkistan and China, these tribes were assembling there. When their population was reaching out of its bounds they were dismounting from the mountains and spreading towards the west and south.The country of China is in its east and in its West and South are west and south Asia and Europe is in its North West.
Even today that nation remained in its wild living style hence for the cultured people they appear dreadful. The Daryl strait is a document of the Holy Quran’s truthfulness. It is one the ancient monument of the Armenians and it is said that copper and iron is used in the construction of the Barrier of Yajuj and Majuj.
