-- Iran Cultural Center in Beirut plans to hold a congress on Molla Sadra.
According to Howza news agency, Hojjat-ol-Islam Ra'iszade, Iran cultural attaché in Beirut said, "The congress is to be held in March 2010 with the presence of scholars from France, Lebanon, Belgium and Syria at Ruh-al-Qods University in Beirut."
Referring to specialized committees to be formed during the two-day congress, he said, "Issues such as characteristics of Molla Sadra, his transcendent philosophy, congruity of intellect and divine revelation in his thought and relation between the sense and logic in his view will be discussed at the program."
He also thanked the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Research Institute in Iran and the university in Lebanon for their cooperation in holding the congress, adding, "Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Khamene'i, head of the institute, will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony."
The congress is also predicted to be attended by eminent scholars from Qom Seminar School among whom will be Hojjat-ol-Islam Shomali and Hojjat-ol-Islam Fanayi.
