Mr. Ali Saeed - a 31 years old -AlAhli Club and national team”Football” goalkeeper, was arrested on Tuesday, April 5th 2011.
On the 27th of June 2011, Bahrain TV (the
governmental channel) presents a program entitled “Dialogue with Saeed
Al-Hamad”. The program presented confessions of of Mr.Saeed.His confession was video taped and not live.
Mr. Saeed confessed and apologized for his participation in the protests against the government.
Mr.Saeed was national team’s goalkeeper in the 2004
Asian Cup and from 1996 he is main goalkeeper in AlAhli Club (Won
several awards and prizes with his club ).
Played 33 international match.
It is said that Mr.Ali Saeed
was subjected to ill treatment in order to broadcast the confessions,
especially that he is still detained without trial. Bahrain organizations call Special
Rapporteur on Torture for urgent action. FIFA should take action to
