Kuwait-based Al-Rahma World Association held a “Holy Quran Week” in Oslo, the capital city of Norway.
According to 3robanews, the Islamic Union of the city also cooperated in organizing the week’s programs.
The programs included a Quran memorization competition and religious speeches delivered by Muslim scholars and preachers.
Walid Ilyasin, an organizer of the event, said that some religious sessions were also held during the week with the aim of enhancing Norwegian Muslims' beliefs.
A workshop on the introduction of a pictorial book titled "Tajweed of Quran” by Sheikh Riyadh Al-Bastanji, and speeches on the virtues of Quran as well as explanation of some of the theories on the interpretation of Surah Hujurat by Sheikh Ali Sa’eed were the other programs of the week.
Abdul Muhsin Al-Mutairi, a Kuwaiti preacher, presented the sermons of the Friday prayers and talked about the principles of contemplating the Quran.
