On the sideline of International Cancer Congress, CEO of Razvi Hospital in the International Cancer Congress revealed the hospital’s achievement to one of the most advanced surgical procedures for brain tumor.
Dr. Saeed Hashemzadeh while announcing this news said, “Razavi Mehr Center has planned this advanced surgery in order to provide the best health care services to patients with cancer.”
“In this surgical procedure, in order for the brain tumors to be cured, cancerous tissue is identified and removed with very high accuracy by fluorescent material. This surgery, in addition to increasing the survival of the patient, prevents the damage to the normal brain tissue and complications such as paralysis of the limbs and speech disturbance” he said, explaining the method of surgery.
“This advanced surgery technique was performed on 2 patients (one on Thursday evening, and the other one this morning) by the medical team of Razavi Hospital” he said, regarding the surgical team of this surgery.
“Yesterday evening, surgery was done on the patient by using technics in the state of consciousness, and this morning surgery was done, using the same technique but in the state of unconsciousness” he added.
Regarding performing free surgeries at this hospital coincided with Sha’ban Festivals, Dr. Hashemzadeh said, “these free surgeries have started since May 15th, in the current month and will continue until May 23rd based on the planning done by Razavi Mehr Center, which is the active center for screening, education, and treatment of cancer in Razavi Hospital. One of these two surgeries on the form of the treatment plan for financially weak and poor patients was performed.”
“According to numerous requests for half-free and free services for the brain tumor surgery, which we have got from the poor and financially weak patients, we will plan to continue this project in the future too” in the end, he added.
