AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Astan Quds Razavi’s Department of Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs will hold the 3rd International Night of Poetry themed with the Islamic Revolution and Islamic Awakening on February 4th. The Islamic Research Foundation will play host to the event. “Also, there will be a competition for poets.

The best works will be awarded during the event,” said head of the non-Iranian pilgrims body.

Enthusiastic poets will have until January 21 to send their works to iro@imamrezashrine.com or via WhatsApp and Telegram on this number: +989377644050.

According to the secretariat of the Night of Poetry, poets are required to write their name, last name and full address below their poems.

The department said it would share the poems during the ceremony. “Poems written with the themes of Hazrat Zahra’s martyrdom and the Islamic Revolution will get higher scores,” the AQR official pointed out.

The subjects of the Night of Poetry revolve around the character of Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, his influence on global cultural and social spheres, his role in establishing the Islamic Resistance Front, his position in the Islamic community as well as his role in preparing the society for the arrival of Imam Mahdi, the 12th Shia Imam.

“Last year, in the second edition of the Night of Poetry, 220 works were submitted to seven secretariats; After evaluating the works, 15 poets from Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Canada, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan were selected to recite their poems at the gathering,” said the director of the Non-Iranian Pilgrims Office.
