Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Bremen, Bochum, Aachen, Hanover, Koln are the cities of Germany where Shia citizens have organized mourning programs on the occasion.
Martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) will be also mourned at Islamic-Cultural Center of Iranians residing in Berlin, Imam Reza (AS) and Imam Sadeq (AS) mosques of Turkish Shias, Imam Mahdi (AS) Mosques of Lebanese Shias, Lasarat Mosque of Iraqi Shias, “Path of the 12 Imams” Mosque of Turkish Shias , the Afghan mosque and the Center of Shia German Youth.
Iran Cultural Center in Germany also cooperates with mosques in Germany to hold religious ceremonies on the occasion.
