The 17th edition of international Quran and Hadith Olympiad for non-Iranian seminary students of Al-Mustafa International University from over 60 countries will be held on 28 categories in the holy city of Qom. Hussein Asadi, director general of Quran and Hadith of the university told IQNA that registration for the competition will begin from September 23 in written, oral and works sections. He said that the competition will include memorization of 30 and 15 parts (Juzes) of the holy Quran, Quran recitation, Tarteel, Adhan, Nahjul Balaqa, Sahifa Sajjadiyyah, and supplication in oral section. The director added that the written competition will be held on memorization of 30, 20, 15, 10 and 5 parts of the Quran, Quranic concepts, Quran sciences and interpretation, Hadith sciences, Hadith narrators, Nahjul Balaqa, pilgrimage supplications, pilgrimage philosophy, explanation of Shaifa Sjjadiyyah, etc. Those interested to attend the work section of the Olympiad are invited to submit their works, book translations, papers, weblogs and theses. The preliminary stage of the oral section will be held from November 6 to 17 at the schools and centers affiliated to the university. The participants will compete at written section on Quran sciences, interpretation and concepts from November 18 and competitions on Hadith sciences and supplication will begin from December 16. The final stage of the oral section will be held from February 5 to 7 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the holy prophet (PBUH) and the Unity Week.
