According to deputy of culture and relations of the institute, the encyclopedia covers various aspects of the life and character of Imam Hussein (AS), from his birth to martyrdom, in 14 volumes.
Hadi Rabbani said that besides Quran, Hadith and historical sources, modern research studies have also been used in compilation of the collection which was completed in 10 years.
The encyclopedia consists of 15 major parts including 138 chapters with Persian translations providing information on Imam Hussein’s (AS) life, character, household, virtues, Imamate and his uprising, answers to doubts and questions and 5 maps depicting the way the Imam and his household passed through from Mecca to Karbala.
Ayatollah Reyshahri has compiled the encyclopedia with the assistance of Seyyed Mahmoud Tabataba’i Nezhad and Seyyed Ruhollah Seyyed Tabayi. Abdulhadi Mas’udi, Mahdi Mehrizi and Mohammad Moradi have done the translations. It will be unveiled at Allame Majlesi Hall in the lunar month of Muharram.
