The program got its model from the story of “prayer of the children of Israel for 40 days to be saved from Pharaoh”. It will starts from the first day of 12th lunar month, Zulhijjah till the 10th day of Muharram the day of Ashura, It can be done individually or in a group.

Imam Sadeq (a.s) said: “When the punishment of the children of Israel took so long, they yelled and screamed to God for forty days. Then God hasten their freedom for 170 years and inspired Moses and Aaron about it. And also if you do the same, God will hasten our freedom and if you do not, the time of reappearance reaches its end”. (Interpretation Ayyashi Volume 2 page 154)
We expect Shia from different part of the world to join us to ask Allah Almighty to hasten the reappearance of the Divine Savior.
The acts that can be done in the 40 morning are the “Supplication of Faraj (Azamulbala)”, “Supplication of Ashura”, “Supplication of AlQamah”, “Supplication of Ahd”, “Supplication of Nudba” and “Mourning for Imam Hussein (a.s)”.
Note: Mosques and religious bodies in different countries to celebrate the 40 days can send their addresses and applications to Ahlul Bayt News Agency (via the Comments section below this story) to inform their brothers and sisters of the event.
