The fifth edition of a Quranic course titled “Ahbaabullah” has been underway for children in Bahrain.
According to Al-Wasat newspaper, “Al-Sanabis” Husseiniya (religious center) has been hosting the program from the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
Ali Abbas Kareem, supervisor of the course said that the main objective of the program is to encourage children to learn Quran reading, promote their Quranic skills and identify Quranic talents among the younger generation.
Besides the Quranic course, the center holds special educational programs for children on different occasions, he added.
Some 400 Bahraini children have taken the course, which will continue until the end of the holy month.
It includes group Quran reading, teaching Tajweed principles, Quran interpretation, Quranic stories and concepts as well as Quranic competitions and entertainments.
A special Quranic program titled “Ruqayyah” has also been organized by the center for girls.
The participants in the Ramadan Quranic programs will be honored in a ceremony at the end of the holy month.
